Wishing You a Pachamama Christmas

Pachamama Christmas

Not every outfit calling themselves “Catholic” is worthy of our attention.

That goes for fly-by-night charities, certainly, but it also large chunks of religious orders whose names you probably recognize.

It’s a sad state of affairs that we have to view solicitations for our cash from organizations with perhaps hundreds of years of goodness behind their names, but such is the state of our Church in the midst of this crisis.

Here is one very disturbing example:

In case the words in this image are blurry, here is the text of the Christmas greetings which the Franciscans International are offering you in their hideous little e-card:

In the context of the nativity, Luke tells us about the meeting between Mary and her cousin Elizabeth. The two women, both expecting a child, meet each other with attentiveness and sensitivity. At the opening of the Synod, Pope Francis asked us to approach the peoples of Pachamama Christmasthe Amazon on our ‘tiptoes’.

In this picture you see Mary, who we honor as the ‘new Eve’ or Mother of Life, together with Pachamama, who some indigenous peoples honor as the ‘earth mother’. Francis of Assisi too describes the earth as our mother in the Canticle.

Celebrating Christmas, I wish that we may approach God and each other on our ‘tiptoes’ so that we experience in these meetings the ‘real living’.

On behalf of Franciscans International,

Markus Heinze, OFM
Executive Director

Are all Franciscans bad?  Have they all openly embraced paganism and apostacy as this particular whack-job branch of the order has?  No, of course not!

But…just because they wear the Franciscan habit doesn’t mean that they are faithful sons of the saint from Assissi.  Just remember those scenes from the Amazon Synod where, back in October, we were treated to the sight of a Franciscan in full habit prostrating himself on the ground before an image of this pagan idol which has apparently captured the hearts and mind of our senior Church leadership.

As you write out your checks for various charities during this holy season of Advent, be careful.  Be discerning.

And…if by some odd circumstance, you’ve written a Christmas check to the Franciscans International…for goodness’ sake, stop payment on it!

Traditional Religious Orders on the Rebound

With the loss of so many vocations over the past fifty years, we’ve seen a general (and often severe) contraction of religious orders across the board. Every once in a while, however, you come across an account of a religious order that is actually growing, sometimes explosively so.

The Discalced Carmelites, however, are on the rebound.

Since 2000, the Carmelites have been faced with the sort of challenge many religious orders pine for: a boom in vocations. In that year, the nuns moved into the monastery at Elysburg, Pennsylvania from their original home in Nebraska, which they soon outgrew. They were thus granted permission to take over another declining Carmelite monastery, the Carmel of St. Joseph and St. Anne, in Philadelphia — and filled that one with vocations as well. So finally, with the community having overflowed its lodgings twice, the Carmelites received permission last summer from His Excellency Ronald Gainer, bishop of the Diocese of Harrisburg, to expand operations again, this time constructing a new monastery from the ground up.

According to their superior, Mother Stella, “I think the young women are drawn to beauty in the liturgy. They know that if God exists, if God is on our altars, if God is within the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, then He needs to be worshiped as He deserves: with beauty and reverence,” she said of what she thinks draws young women to the Carmelites in particular. “They see that we have that here in our monastery, and they want to be a part of that. They also want something that is authentic, that goes back to the time of our holy mother, St. Teresa.”

Another Day. Another Injustice…

How is it that heterodox (to put it mildly) “celebrity priests” are feted, praised, wined and dined by our bishops, but the orthodox priests who are trying to shine a light on the scandals destroying Holy Mother Church are disciplined and suppressed?

I guess you can chalk it up to the “Lavender Mafia” continuing to do its thing…and do it well.

LifeSiteNews published an article describing the treatment of Fr. Mark Goring, a “regular guy” kind of priest who had developed a decent sized following on YouTube. I guess you could call him a “celebrity priest” of sorts owing to his online audience, but he’s certainly no media darling like superstar Fr. James Martin.

Fr. Goring has spent the last few months attempting to shed light on what he calls the “corruption network” at work in the Church. We all know it’s happening, and we laity have wondered why more priests and bishops aren’t stepping forward to call the powerful and corrupt to account for their misdeeds.

Well, Fr. Mark tried…and boy, was he smacked down for it!

Embezzling Nuns? How does THAT relate to the Church Crisis?

CCM Contributor Doug Kelchner

The corruption and infestation of evil within the Church is no longer isolated to a deadly torrent running underneath an otherwise tranquil façade of religiosity; malevolence has festered to a point beyond which containment is possible.  Parasitic evil, which until recently had largely been shrouded in the veil of religion, is being exposed at alarming rates. It is not being exposed as a result of intense investigatory reporting; it is being exposed because it has been made manifest by its sheer enormity.  Only a person without vision or the ability hear could remain unaware.  Just as a doctor advises the patient that the malignancy must be removed to make recovery possible; these parasites must be exposed for the evil and wicked operatives they’ve been revealed to be.

Don’t be fooled, these parasites hide in plain sight, they wear the vestments of the Church, they are camouflaged behind vows long abandoned; they are the ones who have forsaken the true beauty and mission of the Bride of Christ for worldly gain using ill-gotten power and influence.  Evidence of their malfeasance is impossible to ignore: gambling nuns who drive matching Volvo’s, highly irregular activities within the Vatican Bank, selling out of the authentic Catholic Church in China to the Communist regime, shuffling of complicit clergy to hide crimes, homosexual predation of seminarians, and perhaps most notoriously – the sexual exploitation and unspeakable crimes against minors (mostly boys) by clergy, including by Cardinals of the Church, on nearly every continent.

What more proof do you need?  Three of the nine Cardinals of the Pope’s C9 (Council of Advisory Cardinals first established in 2013 by Pope Francis) have been removed due to scandal; scandal not revealed in transparency, but revealed because the scandal could no longer be contained.

While the Church WILL become significantly smaller (as Pope Benedict predicted in 1969 early in his priestly vocation), the Church will correspondingly become much holier.  In 1972 Archbishop Sheen foretold of this coming crisis.  It was then that he said to the faithful laity, “Your mission is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops, like bishops, and your religious act like religious.”  You and I are called to action in the defense of Holy Mother Church.  Stand with those faithful prelates and priests who are fighting to purify the Church of this rampant evil; let your voice be heard because your own bishop most assuredly perceives your silence as consent.  If your bishop welcomes your call for purification of the Church, you may be one of a fortunate few who are under the care of a truly good shepherd; if your bishop dismisses your call, well then you know where your bishop stands.

Pray for the purification of Holy Mother Church.

No, these are not REAL nuns in this image. The absurdity of this image serves, however, to illustrate just how ludicrous the situation in our beloved Church has become.

Editor’s note:  I thought a long time as to whether or not I should include this image with Doug’s article.  Whoever put this photo together obviously didn’t use real nuns as the subjects.  These are models posing in nun costumes with a carefully chosen background consisting of $100 bills.  Is this photo designed to mock the Church?  Of course it is.  But are not our REAL professed religious, priests, bishops and cardinals who purposely forsake their vows and abandon Magisterial teaching also mocking the Church as well…and to much more devastating effect?
